So you have project to be printed, the next question would be what paper is best. There are a variety of papers available and weights for the best possible finish, lets look at the best choice for each job.
(bear in mind this is only a guide as color density plays a big part in regards to absorbency)
Flyers and Leaflet Printing:
This is matter of budget as well as design. The options are:
Gloss Paper from 130Gsm to 350Gsm Card
Matt Bond for budget leaflets
The typical paper weight for leaflets is 130Gsm on gloss or 80Gsm on Matt Bond (matt bond is a budget leaflet)
The choice here really is the finish required. You can opt for matt bond , but to be honest our popular choice
for brochures is 150Gsm gloss to 170Gsm gloss
NCR – Invoice Pad Printing:
Invoice pads are printed on 1 weight of paper that is 70Gsm, it needs to be on this paper as it is carbonless.
on a separate point, we do get clients who wish to have full colour invoice pads – which off course we can supply,
however one must bear in mind its only an invoice and so 1 or 2 colour would normally suffice.
Letterheads and Comp slips:
This is simply best printed on 100Gsm Bond, you can choose heavier weights however 100Gsm is the normal.
Booklet Printing:
Again a matter of choice, paper weight that is ideal is 150Gsm Gloss throughout, however for the best finish
a 200Gsm Gloss cover works best.
